New mod turns The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim into Call of Duty
For those who don’t want to go back to the 90’s to experience the joys of firearms in the fantasy world of The Elder Scrolls, modder MixedMartialArtist has decided to turn the most modern game in the series, Skyrim, into a Call of Duty-like game to transform Sagittarius. The modification is called Call of Duty – Skyrim and turns the famous role-playing game from Bethesda into the arena of modern warfare: instead of swords and bows, the participants in the civil war now use guns, grenades and rocket launchers. In total, the mod adds 12 fully functional firearms and explosives. Each “weapon” has its own cartridge type, recoil, firing range and critical damage. Players can reload and use the scope.
Hundreds of squads now roam the game world (from 4 to 12 soldiers). They can patrol their territory or try to break through the enemy. Once the fighters are outnumbered, they organize a tactical retreat or call in reinforcements. Players, in turn, can join one of the parties to the conflict and help her achieve her goals as an ordinary fighter or even as the commander of her own squad (up to 17 people). Subordinates work like followers. In the hardcore mode of the mod (it is optional to activate), a detachment of soldiers of one of the two factions can appear next to each peaceful NPC, so skirmishes await the user literally on every corner.
The mod is available on Nexus Mods in variants for Special/anniversary edition And SkyrimVR. Call of Duty – Skyrim requires a number of other modifications to make it work: USSEP And SPID also for the regular version and VR VRIK And WeaponThrowVR specifically for VR.
