France welcomes outgoing US cryptocurrency companies to the country
France welcomes cryptocurrency companies leaving the US market because of tighter regulation.
AMF secretary general Benoît de Juvigny said that the French regulatory regime and European agreements could benefit US cryptocurrency players. According to CoinDesk, some 74 cryptocurrency companies are already registered in France, and that number could increase once the MiCA bill regulating the European Union's crypto-asset market is approved.
Meanwhile, in the US, the SEC has identified irregularities in the operations of several cryptocurrency platforms, including Bittrex, Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini and Genesis. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has expressed concerns about the negative impact of SEC regulatory policies on the US financial situation.
