Polish sources have clarified when the Phantom Liberty add-on for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released CD Projekt RED declined to comment on the rumours
The large-scale add-on Phantom Liberty for the role-playing action film Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for release in 2023, but CD Projekt RED is in no hurry to announce the exact date of the premiere. According to new rumours, the release will not be long in coming. According to the leader Rock i Borys Podcast Boris Neshpelyak (Borys Nieśpielak), who is at a certain stage of development at CD Projekt RED himself, is expected to release Phantom Liberty in June 2023. Neshpelyak received information from his sources within the studio, but it is believed to be out of date, it was announced “Many, many podcasts back”. This is confirmed by the reaction from CD Projekt RED.
Community Manager Marcin Momot stressed that CD Projekt RED only promised to talk about Phantom Liberty in June, while the studio is not commenting on rumors about the release date. From interviews with CD Projekt RED staff and representatives “Polish Gamedev” Neshpielak learned that the Cyberpunk 2077 add-on will be released within a month of the release date being announced. The announcement is expected to be made on June 8th at the opening of Summer Game Fest. The presence of Phantom Liberty at the festival confirmed CD Projekt RED itself, but so far only in the format of gameplay sessions for press and bloggers.
