Another billionaire gave in and turned to crypto
Even the most vocal opponents are converting. Soon everyone will be on board.
The co-founder of private equity company The Argyle Group David Rubenstein has changed his opinion regarding cryptocurrency. At first, he was skeptical, the billionaire admitted, but now he is convinced that the industry is going places.
As Mr. Rubenstein said himself:
“I think the genie is out of the bottle, and I don’t think the industry’s going to go away any time soon.”
It is unclear if Mr. Rubenstein thinks that this genie will grant any wishes, though. Besides, the billionaire himself admitted that he hadn’t yet invested in cryptocurrency. Instead, Mr. Rubenstein prefers to give money to “companies that service the industry.”
Moreover, the newly converted billionaire has shared his opinion regarding the worth of world currencies:
“It’s clear to me now that many younger people don’t think there’s much underlying the dollar or the euro or other currencies.”
Mr. Rubenstein has become the latest billionaire to do a 180 on crypto. Previously this month another businessman – CEO of JPMorgan Jamie Dimon – has admitted that DeFi and blockchain are here to stay and should be reckoned with.
What genie was Mr. Rubenstein talking about – the kind that grants you three wishes? In that case, what would you wish for?
