$ADA: IOG Releases a Vasil-Compatible Version of Cardano Wallet ‘Daedalus’ for Mainnet
On Thursday (September 8), IOG, blockchain technology company behind Cardano’s R&D, made an important announcement regarding its non-custodial Cardano wallet “Daedalus”.
Daedalus is a full-node wallet, which means that “unlike light wallets (e.g.Yoroi, Adalite etc.) Daedalus downloads a full copy of the Cardano blockchain and independently validates every transaction in its history”, thereby giving you “maximum security and completely trustless operation, without centrally hosted 3rd party servers.”
Daedalus allows you to manage multiple wallets with its “hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallet implementation.” This lets you “have more control over how your funds are organized.”
Daedalus is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is “built with web technologies on top of Electron, a battle-proven open-source platform for writing cross-platform desktop applications.”
