Genshin Impact Leak Shows Nahida's Wishing Animation
A new Genshin Impact video leak shows the gacha animation for the new Dendro Archon Nahida who is expected to arrive in update 3.2.

Genshin Impact official social media accounts confirmed the arrival of two new characters for the upcoming version 3.1. One of those characters is the long-awaited Dendro Archon named Nahida who plays a major role in the ongoing storyline.

At the moment, Nahida is just an NPC who serves as the main protector of the recently added Sumeru region. Every time Genshin Impact players spend resources to pull from a banner, it triggers a special wishing animation revealing their new characters or weapons. Thanks to a new leak, it appears that Nahida is getting a unique animation for lucky players who are able to acquire her.

A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subReddit shows the wishing animation for the upcoming Dendro Archon after a ten-wish pull rewarded the player with ten copies of Nahida. It should be noted that this is only possible in the game's beta and the odds of it happening on the live servers are actually astronomical. Unlike many gacha-based games, Genshin Impact has a pity system that guarantees a five-star character within 90 pulls and a four-star character within 10 pulls. However, to make things even harder, every five-star drop on the Limited Character banner has a 50% chance to feature a character from the Standard Banner.

The Standard banner includes six characters with the new Dendro bow user Tighnari being the latest addition. HoYoverse's decision to expand the Standard Banner pool was welcomed by the community as players seem to be tired of getting copies of characters that they don't want to use. However, a number of fans have pointed out that Geo is the only element in the game that does not have its representative character on the Standard Banner. While Zhongli is the oldest Geo character, the prime candidate to join the banner is probably the Mondstadt Alchemist Albedo as it's highly unlikely that an Archon like Zhongli becomes a Standard Banner character. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that they will skip the banners in Version 3.1 in order to save up Primogems for Nahida. She is rumored to appear on the first banner for Genshin Impact update 3.2 which should arrive around November 7.
According to numerous beta leaks, Nahida is expected to be one of the strongest characters in the game. As a new Dendro support, she will probably be a must-have unit for team compositions that rely on applying Dendro for their elemental reactions. Nahida's elemental burst will create a massive Dendro field that interacts differently when combined with Electro, Pyro, and Hydro which makes Nahida a very flexible support choice.
