FTX's Bankman-Fried charged with bribery in new indictment

The new charge was uncovered Tuesday in a revised indictment from the Manhattan federal prosecutor's office. Bankman-Fried is accused of authorizing a $40 million payment to one or more Chinese government officials to force them to unfreeze accounts at Alameda Research, a Hong Kong trading firm linked to FTX that holds more than $1 billion worth of cryptocurrencies.
