Crypto 2022: Hackers Have Already Stolen $1.22 Billion
According to a new report, hackers are still focused on decentralized finance (DeFi) projects to steal cryptocurrencies this year, which is the reverse of 2021, when they used scams and online scams for most of their exploits.
At the moment, investors have lost more than $1.22 billion due to hackers in the first three months of the year, which is almost eight times more than the $154 million lost in the first quarter of 2021, according to crypto security firm Immunefi. The report states that ninety-nine percent of these losses were caused by software exploits, in particular the Wormhole and Ronin hacks.
Personally, nothing has been stolen from me yet, and have you already faced the theft of your funds? If yes, then share about it in the comments as it was.
