Digital Currency Group owes $900 million to Gemini, Cameron Winklevoss demands payment by Monday
Cameron Winklevoss's letter highlights that it has been 47 days since 340,000 Earn payments totaling $900 million have been suspended.
Winklevoss said that Silbert was "in bad faith" delaying the process of paying off the debt. Within 6 weeks, the management of the exchange spent every effort to reach an agreed decision on the return of funds.
Barry Silbert was warned that the debt must be paid by January 8th.
I wonder what happens if DCG does not pay the debt on time, hire collectors as microloan stalls?
It's also funny that the Winklevosses were involved in strange fraud with user funds and received claims from Gemini investors. The head of DCG also noted that DCG did not borrow $1.675 billion from Genesis. He added that his company approached Genesis and Gemini on Dec. 29 with an offer, but received no response.
In general, it is not clear who is right here, but the Winklevoss's murky dealings do not give confidence in the honesty of their demands.
