Coinbase launches its cryptocurrency Visa debit card in the US
The US largest cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has launched a cryptocurrency debit card in partnership with Visa. The card can only be used by US citizens, excluding residents of Hawaii.
Card holders can pay with this card wherever Visa is accepted, as well as withdraw cash from your crypto wallets through ATMs.
Card users will also receive crypto cashback up to 4% of the amount of coins spent. They can choose to earn 4 percent back in Stellar Lumen or 1 percent back in Bitcoin.
There’s no issuance fee, but Coinbase says that “cryptocurrency conversion fees may apply”.
In December 2019, Coinbase launched the debit card in Europe and the UK.
